Yet another brilliant package produced by Paul and John. Watch the videos, read the books and listen to the audio books, then do it all again, there is so much information contained in this bundle that it is just not possible to take it all in in one go. Hirata- san’s approach to fly choice and tactics are a bit different to the norm but once you get your head around it they make perfect sense. Anyone who has spent as long on the river, as a very successful professional angler, deserves to be listened to. I am just grateful that people like Hirata-san are generous enough to pass on their hard won knowledge. Even if you never hand furl your own horse hair line or tie flies by hand you will enjoy watching a true master at work. He makes it seem so easy, but I suppose that’s what a true craftsman does. If anyone is interested in Tenkara then they will get a lot from this bundle, you don’t have to use his tactics but they certainly give you food for thought. Short of getting the entire Season 1 of TIF in one grab, this is hands-down the biggest-value package John and Paul have produced to date… and an almost compulsory purchase at the intro price!
The amount of content is equivalent to about three episodes of TIF, and while each piece can stand alone on its own merits, they compliment and support one another in such a way that the whole is far greater than just the sum of its parts. Can’t wait to put the many things I’ve learned from this bundle to practice on the water!
